Yosemite

One of my favorite things about Yosemite was the wildlife, which comes really close because they're used to humans. Our first day we saw tons of mule deer, like this guy:

And we also saw a coyote right up close:

We had front row seats at the cheetah run at the San Diego wildlife park, which was awesome. This is the beautiful girl who ran it:

And she had a best friend, a lovely gentle giant of an Anatolian shepherd.

One year ago today, we found little Motor in a parking lot in Lynchburg, TN. This is the very first picture I have of him:

He was so ridiculously tiny - and sick to boot. And we had no plans whatsoever to keep him. But here he is, one year later, fat and happy and much bigger:

Last weekend I took Luna with me to volunteer at a remote, rural rest stop along the bike route Dave was riding. Well, I was volunteering; Luna was there for protection! And I guess that proved pretty tiring, because she sacked out shortly after we got home:

Zzzzzz. Protecting Mommy is exhausting.

Has anyone seen Motor?

Motor vs Da Bird Stick

An F.o.M. recently gifted Motor with Da Bird Stick. Safe to say, he is hooked:

Yep, I could use a puppy snuggle. And who wouldn't want one from this guy?

But his new family says he's doing great, and for that I'm thankful. Guess I'll just go get some big shepherd snuggles instead. :)
