Summer Time!

I was recently assigned an article about rescue dogs, so of course I had to write about my girl Summer! (My loyal blog followers may remember this 2011 post about Summer: http://thedogandcatblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/see-how-they-grow.html.)

Anyway, I managed to get my hands on some of the photos from her shoot; I thought these two represented her perfectly:

A busy day to be a baby...

Between a lot of playing outside with the big girls and visits from some puppy-loving friends, Poppy and Sweet Pea simply passed out from exhaustion last night. They couldn't even make it to their beds, collapsing on their foster mom instead:

Munchkins!

We took in two new fosters last night. They are husky/boxer mixes and they're called Poppy and Sweet Pea. Here is Poppy:

Pretty cute, right? Anyhow, the puppies and Motor are mutually obsessed. Here's one of their earliest meetings:

So, I'm thinking it will be a little while before Motor is comfortable enough to snuggle in with them. But it *will* happen because Motor loves snuggling and puppies are, by a mile, the snuggliest things out there:
